Psychotherapy Team
Each of our team members brings a set of unique skills and passion for the work we do.
Training and continued professional development play a key role in ensuring we are working together to develop creative, effective programming.
We also welcome any opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to better support the learners and families we work with.
Bhoomija, BA, RP (Qualifying)
MACP Practicum Student, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
With over 20 years of experience in education and autism support, Bhoomija brings warmth, insight, and deep expertise to her psychotherapy practice. Her lifelong passion for helping others led her to specialize in early childhood education, with a focus on child development and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Bhoomija’s approach is grounded in empathy, safety, and collaboration. She integrates psychoeducation, scaffolding strategies, and a strong therapeutic alliance to support individuals navigating life’s challenges. Whether working with children, teenagers, adults, or families, Bhoomija creates a respectful, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can thrive.
Bhoomija completed her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University, and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
She has joined Best Behaviour to complete her MACP practicum, under the supervision of our psychotherapy team, and is providing low-cost psychotherapy services in Waterloo and virtually until April 2026.
Ipsita, BCBA, R.B.A. (Ont), RP (Qualifying)
MACP Practicum Student, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Ipsita has spent over 10 years supporting individuals with unique learning needs and behavioural challenges. Supporting students in the classroom, as well as children and youth in therapy clinics across Ontario, she has applied her understanding of ABA to improve behaviour, learning, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
Ipsita brings a compassionate, client-centred approach to therapy. She strives to provide thoughtful, evidence-based counselling tailored to each client’s unique needs. She has seen first-hand the value that mental health supports can bring to children and parents, and wants to be a part of that positive growth and change for others. As Ipsita begins her journey as a psychotherapist, she looks forward to integrating all of her experiences, continuing to support individuals and families with their emotional and psychological wellness.
Ipsita completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Arts in Psychology, Master of Philosophy in Psychology, a post-graduate course sequence in Applied Behaviour Analysis, and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. She is a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Authorizing Autonomous Practice) with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University, and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Candice, MA, RP (Qualifying)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Candice has over 15 years of experience working with communication disorders, learning strategy, and behaviour intervention. During her time as a Communication Disorders Assistant and ABA Therapist, she supported many children and their caregivers in hospital, home, and community settings. She enjoyed being able to work with both youth and adults to build skills, and has always found herself drawn to roles that allow her to explore the art of teaching. Candice takes an eclectic approach to intervention, integrating various evidence-based theories to support individuals on their learning and healing journey. She is excited to bring her personalized approach to psychotherapy, and strives to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
Candice completed her Bachelor of Communication and Conflict Studies, a graduate certificate in Communication Disorders, a graduate certificate in Applied Learning Disability Studies, and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Candice completed her MACP practicum at Yorkville University in 2024, under the supervision of our psychotherapy team, and has been contracted to provide psychotherapy services in Waterloo and virtually.
Amanda, MA, RP
Registered Psychotherapist
Amanda has experience working as an ABA Therapist, providing one-to-one and group-based support. As a psychotherapist, Amanda is excited to learn and grow her skills to better support children with disabilities and their families. She recognizes the need for effective and compassionate mental health services that support the whole family. She continues to expand her knowledge of both behaviour analysis and Psychotherapy, so that she can apply different modalities and frameworks within her therapy sessions.
Amanda completed her Bachelor of Social Science with a specialization in conflict studies and human rights, and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Amanda completed her MACP practicum at Yorkville University in 2023, under the supervision of our psychotherapy team, and has been contracted to provide psychotherapy services in Waterloo and virtually.
Allyson, MA, RP
Registered Psychotherapist
Allyson has experience working as an ABA Therapist, providing home and community-based support. She has worked with children aged 3 to 10, with a variety of goals and behavioural challenges. As a psychotherapist, Allyson is passionate about working with children and adolescents to manage their emotions, develop social skills, and expand their executive function. She strives to help her clients overcome anxiety, depression, and increase their self-esteem. As a parent herself, paired with the experience of working closely with families throughout her years as an in-home ABA Therapist, Allyson has developed a strong sense of appreciation for the various stressors that come with being a caregiver. Allyson uses a strengths-based and solution-focused perspective to implement integrative behaviour-based approaches, with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Allyson completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a special interest in Applied Behaviour Analysis, and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Allyson has been contracted to to provide psychotherapy services in Hamilton and virtually, as part of our psychotherapy team.
Kim, RP, BCBA, R.B.A. (Ont)
External Supervisor for Psychotherapy Services
Kim brings many years of experience, working with children, adolescents and adults with autism, learning and intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and aquired brain injuries. Kim currently provides mental health services to individuals with a wide range of diagnoses and treatment goals. She works with clients presenting with issues related to anxiety, depression, phobias, emotional dysregulation, trauma, anger, stress, parent-child relationships, and family conflict. Kim uses a variety of behaviour-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Kim completed a diploma in behavioural sciences, her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and her Master of Science in Psychology with a special interest in Applied Behaviour Analysis. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, and a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Authorizing Autonomous Practice) with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
Kim has been contracted to provide external supervision for our psychotherapy services, as well as some professional development and clinical oversight for our ABA team.
