Psychotherapy Team

Allyson Gassner, BA, MA-candidate
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Allyson has experience working as an ABA Therapist, providing home and community-based support. She has worked with children aged 3 to 10, with a variety of goals and behavioural challenges. As a psychotherapist, Allyson is passionate about working with children and adolescents to manage their emotions, develop social skills, and expand their executive function. She strives to help her clients overcome anxiety, depression, and increase their self-esteem. As a parent herself, paired with the experience of working closely with families throughout her years as an in-home ABA Therapist, Allyson has developed a strong sense of appreciation for the various stressors that come with being a caregiver. Allyson uses a strengths-based and solution-focused perspective to implement integrative behaviour-based approaches, with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Allyson completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a special interest in Applied Behaviour Analysis, and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Allyson has been contracted to provide psychotherapy services, as part of our psychotherapy team.
